I am a culture and media researcher. I am interested in the tools, technologies and infrastructures through which humanities scholars think and produce knowledge.

My research brings together media theory and digital culture studies with the philosophy of the humanities, the history of scholarly practices and the digital humanities.

I am an Assistant Professor at the Digital Humanities Centre at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where I lead the project Cultural Mediology of Artificial Intelligence: The Role of Machine Learning in Humanities Knowledge Production, funded by Poland’s National Science Centre under the SONATA programme. The project explores how AI tools are transforming scholarly practices and academic culture. 

I received my PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Wrocław. My dissertation explored index cards as a technology of intellectual work and was published as Fiszki. Od humanistyki cyfrowej do analogowej [Index Cards: From Digital to Analog Humanities] (IBL PAN Press, Warsaw 2024).

I co-founded the Laboratory of Contemporary Humanities at the Institute of Cultural Studies at the University of Wrocław. I was also a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at New York University and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
